1. I had a lovely chat with a lovely friend.
2. I did a bit of financial organization. Don't get too excited for me - it was minimal. I will write out the checks to pay the bills after I publish this post. Yeah, I'm a bit behind in that area.
3. Cooking fun. I baked a banana cream pie from scratch. I used one of those store-bought pie crusts made from vanilla wafers, but the rest was all me. It looks and smells great. Then I got the crock pot ready for Saturday night's dinner. Turkey breast, red potatoes, carrots, and a sweet potato for one of my daughters who doesn't care much for red potatoes and carrots. There is a nice salad in the fridge and I made homemade salad dressing. Dinner should be good. Last night's dinner was nice. I barbecued the leftover pork roast. I think next time I do a pork roast I will do the same thing and then make BBQ pork sandwiches with it. The kids will love it. I think I'll do it soon.
4. Now for those pesky bills. *sigh* I hate it that I procrastinate, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed and can't seem to help it. I hate it when I feel like I have to force my brain into a space where it doesn't feel natural to go at the exact time that I need it to. When that happens, I have to either wait or struggle and force things. I resent that. I wish I knew how to fix this problem of navigating from one head space to another, but I don't know how. I wish I could have any one of my skills at any time that I want it. I feel like a car with a shitty transmission.
