Lipstick and New Sunglasses
They changed my day. Totally. Such small things, but they made a pretty big difference. It helped that it was nice out today and I slept alright. The sound of the lawnmower woke me up, but at least it was something normal instead of a nightmare. I went out in the sunshine and I feel better. Now - to drag that into the evening with me. Maybe I should start in the kitchen. A freshly scrubbed kitchen makes me feel a little more cheerful.

Lipstick always helps! :) I hope you have sunshine all day today!!
ReplyDeleteJust for a little thing to tuck in your back pocket, there is a verse in the Bible (Psalm 22, verse 3) that says that God inhabits the praise of His people. I have found it easier to conquer despair by singing hymns that praise God, and I've found that singing them gives me great courage. Just in case it helps you.
here's another little thing to tuck in your back pocket...
ReplyDelete(from one of my favorite movies)
Guildenstern: I think I have it. A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself.
Rosencrantz: Or just as mad.
Guildenstern: Or just as mad.
Rosencrantz: And he does both.
Guildenstern: So there you are.
Rosencrantz: Stark raving sane.
