If it ain't one thing...

I had to call the pediatrician for one of the kids this morning. The husband took her in and the doctor sent her home with Tamiflu. He said he has seen 12 confirmed cases of swine flu. We won't know for sure until the test comes back on Friday if that's what she has, but he said it does look like it and we are acting accordingly. My poor kid. I hope things will be much better soon. It's been a rough couple of weeks here. I just want everyone to be well and healthy. Some sleep would be nice, too.

  1. Ugh. Whirlygirl just got over the flu. It really wasn't too bad as far as the flu goes, but it still sucks.

I hope your little one feels better soon, and that none of the rest of you come down with it.

  2. I'm sure the antiviral will help. The positive thing is, swine flu really is not any worse than the normal flu.

  3. Yes, they say it's mild for the majority of the people, especially if treated early which sounds like you've done. Still, no fun. Sending recovering thoughts your way.

  5. oh no. Do watch her with the tamiflu. My doc won't prescribe it for kids except in rare cases. There are the possibility of psychiatric side effects.

  8. Oh no! I'm sure that was scary for you! I don't know how I missed this post. I was just coming here to check on you, my friend. I have had a week of rain, and now I have a moment of clarity, so I wanted to see how you're doing.
I hope you little one is feeling better now...and I hope the same for you, too.
