Fight Night
At least he calls it fighting. I call it hashing shit out. The result? He is considering that he needs to do something and that he really does have some buried anger against his father. He has agreed that he will take my therapist's advice and get a punching bag. I'm really, really tired. I hope I can resume with the house Friday. I need some hope that things will get better here. 'Cause I'm just so tired.

You're right, it's scary AND lonely.

sounds like you have at least come to an agreement at least.
ReplyDeleteWhy cant we just leave our childhoods behind?
ReplyDeleteIt can be so hard.
Its fathers day here in the uk, I think this weekend. You just cant avoid the cards; they are even by the tills in the damn petrol station.
ReplyDeleteIhope you got some sleep.
I didn't see this until after I commented on your last post. This is good news!
ReplyDeleteLynn,
ReplyDeletemonthsgone and when i check in i find another similarity in our lives. this time i mirror the hubby. my lack of ability to handle even simple tasks without a mental/physical breakdown has caused more problems in my marriage than i could tell you. part of the reason i'm off in the army right now. i needed a place to rebuild my self confidence and get a grasp on my own life without the ghosts of yesteryear hovering over my shouldr.
i also needed a place to repair the physical damage i'd done to my body from years of hiding from life. be patient if you can. the hubby may REALLY be sick after doing the work . . . i alwats was. he may have to rebuild homself from scratch.
later, my friend!
Punching bag = good.
