Much Better

1. I'm getting caught up on the things I got a little behind on. I got some rest and have been eating exclusively from my own kitchen again and so I have much more energy to work with since I am no longer feeling sluggish and weighed down by fast food and take out garbage (and the stress of multiple tax returns in which one form begets another until I want to SCREAM from the sheer complexity of it all). All hail natural foods and the goodies from GNC!! Power to the people!!

2. It is official. I spoke with my sister and I have a date and time to address her Girl Scout troop on the topic of writing. It is set for two weeks from this Wednesday just passed. I am very excited about this and my sister says that the girls are, too. Many in the troop are truly interested in writing and there is even a brilliant young playwright in the group. I am going to have a wonderful time speaking with these creative young minds. And my beautiful little niece has already conveyed her most pressing questions to her mother. Oh, the little darling. Great minds really do think alike. :-) It's been a long time since I have looked forward to something as much as I am looking forward to this. I get to help some Girl Scouts earn a badge. How awesome is that?!

3. These girls have got me thinking already. And feeling, too. And it's good. I listened to my most favorite audio book Thursday while I scrubbed and cleaned my kitchen. It was Stephen King's 'On Writing'. I recommend it most highly to ANYONE who is interested in the craft. It is a truly brilliant work. And my kitchen GLEAMS. And a lot of laundry got folded. Lots of good food got cooked. Even a bit of paperwork was done. 'On Writing' is such an inspiring soundtrack for me.

4. I am sure I will be sufficiently caught up with my duties by the end of the weekend, so we are having a family getaway on Monday. I'm looking forward to that, too. And now I must sleep. G'night and sweet dreams.

p.s. I am actually looking forward to waking up in the morning. :-)
