Well, I guess I won't be paying the bills tonight. If I'm lucky, I will at least take a shower. No cooking, either. So what am I doing with myself tonight? I am drinking beer and contemplating extra dimensions of space as they may relate to the force of gravity. Don't worry, I do that sometimes. I am thinking about String Field Theory and M Theory. And I wonder why I am drawn to such. But not really. No, I don't wonder that. I already know the answer. Oh, yes. Because certain quantum theories mirror my own psychological situation. AND they give me hope. Because sometimes I want to be somewhere else other than where I really am. Certainly I don't feel pain in every place in which some version of me might theoretically exist. Certainly not. And I just want to crawl into one of those better, less painful universes. I am nearly certain that I am happy in one of those multiple realities. Yet I live on this side of the membrane that separates us right now. And I don't like it here. I want to be somewhere else.

  4. I know I commented the other day but I was thinking. This post makes me want to learn things like the String Field Theory and M Theory. I'm sure my 20 year old son knows about these things but he's not the best teacher. I may just have to look them up. Thanks for making me at least think about this!
