I like her. I really, really like her.

I did it. I went to visit that accountant I made an appointment with. The consultation went well. I really like her and yes, she can save us money and not as many changes are needed to our tax structure as I thought. She actually said that the basic foundation I laid and have been working from is pretty good. And she said my Schedule D was very nice. :-) My main problem is that I've been missing out on some deductions in the past few years. And of course, then there is the stress and strain it has been causing me to take care of all of this stuff alone. When she saw how separate and complex things are, she said I have really been doing well to even be able to figure out as much as I have on my own. I think she gets it how it can just become too stressful sometimes.

Guess who is NOT going to be holed up with tax forms and a box of tissues come April.

:)

Weird, though. After I got home, I felt the same brand of tired I used to feel after a long day in the office. Probably because I didn't just devote the day to business, I had to short myself on sleep to be able to do it. Just like old times.

*sigh*

  1. Good for you for going! (even though you had to sacrifice sleep which I know is hard to come by anyway) I'm glad you liked her -and it sounds like she can help you and alleviate some stress come tax time - yay!
