I fell down a rabbit hole. I was pulled out of there by two very beautiful golden retrievers. Then I took them for a couple of walks, one at a time, because they are very big, strong and energetic dogs and if I had taken them together they surely would have dragged me down the street until I had to let go of the leashes. They are well behaved, but of course they are dogs and get excited about walks. I have learned some strange things so far. For instance, I did not know that dogs could be trained to ring a bell when they have to go potty. I also learned that if I lie down on the floor to crack my back, it had better be in my bedroom with the door closed unless I want the dogs to wash my face with their tongues. This is going to be interesting. Fluffy, red-golden and very, very interesting.
Note to Self: Every time a big, protective dog lets out a bark, it does NOT mean that there is some evil-doer lurking about the premises ready to gun me down and steal my children. See? Interesting.

They sound beautiful. I am glad they found you.
ReplyDeleteGolden retrievers are beautiful! I love how dogs (and children) think that whenever you get down on the floor it is for the purpose of playing with them!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! And YAY! I have a golden and he is such a love! He's a rescue and he didn't bark for about a week after we got him, but now he barks at someone riding their bike on the bike path behind our house...and yeah, watch out if he can reach your face! He also steals food :-) But he loves unconditionally!!!!
