I just did what might amount to an odd thing for an anti-social type like me. I just joined a local atheist group and will be attending their meeting on the evening of June 2. A real life meeting with people like me! I must admit, I am a tad excited. The husband wants to come, too. I don't want to get my hopes up too high, though. Just because someone is an agnostic or an atheist does not mean I will automatically like them (or they me), but... it certainly ups the odds a little. How nice it will be to at least know that I will be among people who think freely for themselves and are not burdened by any dogma! I can't wait. I think I smell something, but it's not the grandparents' house. I think it's freedom I smell!
