A Completely Irrelevant Post

I have a pet name for really good beer. I call it 'fat-ass beer'. Because I'd probably have a fat ass if I drank it all the time. :-) So I don't. Tonight I craved fat-ass beer, but drank some Michelob Ultra instead. I usually drink Michelob Ultra Amber, but there wasn't any of that particular animal at the store and I didn't feel like running around. I wanted something else, though. Something I recall being dubbed 'hell beer' comes to mind. From what I remember of my time in Germany, 'hell beer' is what was on the label of the German exports. I especially wanted Tucher hefeweizen tonight, but it's very hard to find here and I usually only drink it when I'm rather low on body weight anyway (because it's fat-ass beer). So I drank my Michelob and imagined myself back in a beer tent in Munich, hollering for some Tucher (hell, yes!) in the stein I claimed at the end of that morning's volksmarch, which I completed in spite of (or because of) stopping to puke on nature a couple of times. Like I said, this is a completely irrelevant post. But could someone please bring me some currywurst? I seem to have a case of the munchies. And I'm glad there is no volksmarch waiting for me when I wake up. No volksmarch. Only cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping, and the freakin' to do list that never ends. I guess I'm going to bed soon. I hope there will not be nightmares. Prost, y'all!

Tucher Weißbier? Paulaner is also pretty good.
You were in Germany for a visit? Did you see Franconia too?

  2. Sigh! You made me think about a trip my parents and I made in 1997 to visit my sister when she was stationed in Kaiserslautern.... :) That was a good trip! Thanks for sharing your "irrelevance," Lynn!!

  3. Hi, Mago. Yes, the Paulaner is good. Thank you for reminding. It is easier to find and perhaps I will get some next time I want to treat myself and cannot find the Tucher. No, I lived in Germany twice for a total of seven years. First in Wiesbaden and then in a town called Ansbach. I did get in a trip to Paris. Loved it. Especially visiting with the artists down by the Seine and watching them work. I think that may have been my favorite part. I should have made it to the vineyards.

Anytime, Cheryl. There's plenty of irrelevance to go around over at this here blog! That's a good thing I think, because that's usually where the fun stuff is.
    :-)

  4. Ansbach. Bundesstraße 13, 80 kilometers (90?) southeast of Würzburg, I am soemtimes there and work for the "Bezirk" or use archives in the area. No artists at the banks of the Rezat :)
