Something is setting me off inside, but I'm a very controlled mess.

Between planning a mutiny in therapy, and threatening abandonment of both my body and whoever or whatever manufactures hypochondria and/ or illness, it's been a bad night. When I finally felt my body shut up its stupid whining, I felt a little guilty and asked Jenny to tell me what was going on. Jenny is the body connection. I think she serves as a connection to other things, too, but that's a whole other blog post. Anyway, Jenny can't talk. She communicates with songs (among other things - whole other blog post). When I ask her a question, she drops a song into my head. So... I did it - I asked her. "So... Jenny, what's going on. What say you?" The bit that dropped into my head was, "I think we're alone now, the beating of our heart is the only sound." So what does this mean? I had already successfully abandoned my body? Of course, I did what Jenny expects me to do, and I located the video and the lyrics. I posted the lyrics after the video. The words made me cry right away. Not really, though. I mean - sure, water came out of my eyes for a minute, and for a split second it was a good thing that I was not standing on top of a tall building, but outside of that - I didn't feel too much. Now I just want the song to shut up. I'm thinking I should go to bed soon. That's hard when I am alternating between leaky eyeballs and the urge to grab my ball bat and start smashing the hell out of things. I have no idea what's going on, but I don't think I can keep my therapy appointment for Wednesday. I am NOT a happy fucking camper and there's no telling what could happen. I don't like that. It doesn't seem smart or safe to me. It just doesn't.

Children behave,

That's what they say when we're together,
And watch how you play,
They don't understand,
And so we're,
Running just as fast as we can,

Holdin' onto one another's hand,
Tryin' to get away into the night,
And then you put your arms around me,
And we tumble to the ground,
And then you say,
I think we're alone now,

There doesn't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
Look at the way,

We gotta hide what we're doin'.
'Cause what would they say,
If they ever knew and so we're,
Running just as fast as we can,

Holdin' onto one another's hand,
Tryin' to get away into the night,
And then you put your arms around me,
And we tumble to the ground,
And then you say,
I think we're alone now,

There doesn't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
I think we're alone now,

There doesn't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
Running just as fast as we can,

Holdin' onto one another's hand,
Tryin' to get away into the night,
And then you put your arms around me,
And we tumble to the ground,
And then you say,
I think we're alone now,

There doesn't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
I think we're alone now,

There doesn't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
I think we're alone now, (alone now)

There doesn't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,(alone now)
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
I think we're alone now,(alone now)

There doesn't seem to be anyone around.
I think we're alone now,(alone now)
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
I think we're alone now,(alone now)...

  1. now i have that tune in my head... nice.

what do you think it means/ is it more a memory thing associated with the song, or right to lyric?

  3. Oh boy, that takes me back...

The song that goes around my head these days is dedicated to you too...

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man: no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm, I've been kicked around
    since I was born.
And now it's all right. It's OK.
And you may look the other way.
    We can try to understand
the New York Times' effect on man.

    Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother,
    you're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin',
and we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive.

Well now, I get low and I get high,
and if I can't get either, I really try.
Got the wings of heaven on my shoes.
    I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose.
You know it's all right. It's OK.
I'll live to see another day.

  4. I think it's awesome that you've developed that way of communicating inside. I hadn't seen anything posted about your therapy mutiny. Unless I missed something. Paul.

  5. WHOA! holycrap! This happens to me sometimes. I never thought of it as one particular part that could only communicate this way.

If you can, I think it might be good to go ahead and do some more of that crying. The pain sucks, but "feeling those feelings" really does seem to lead to healing.

  6. Hi, Xmichra. I know what it means, though it is hard to explain. It is lyric specific. It's how she answers. She can't talk.

I don't know, Else, but I'm sick of it.

Staying alive is a pretty good way to look at it, Amanda.

You didn't miss it, Paul. I didn't post it as it was quite brief. Such thinking happens a lot when something is up. It's easier to just hide from people when there's a problem. And it seems safer.

Hi, Marj. The only time I attribute songs as being from Jenny, is when they come in response to a question I ask her out loud and directly. AND, if I know I have not recently heard the song on radio, on TV, or from some other source, in which case it might just be a song that got into my head the normal way (because sometimes Jenny doesn't answer). Also, she often uses songs that are old or obscure. Even ones I don't care for. It's not very hard for me to know when it's her, though there have been a few times I have not understood the message. And now that she knows I will go to youtube... I have noticed some other things about her communication style as well. It's kind of a long story.

  7. People think I'm stupid for it but song lyrics sometimes say what I'm really feeling a lot more than prose does.

  8. I don't think it's stupid. I know what you mean.
