Mommy Dearest, you nasty sow,
I'm sorry (not) that I couldn't let you into my house, it's just that I don't want you here. No, I was not going to make a big deal in front of my kids (because I'm not you), but as you see, I wasn't about to let you get past the foyer, either. Because I don't want you here. I am not the liar, you are. You are a liar and a coward. I don't hang with that and I don't want it in my house. That one moment when you fancy you saw affection? Don't be fooled. That was the little girl looking for what you never gave her. She was not in danger in that moment though, because *I* am here. You tried to destroy me, but it didn't work. I am here and there's nothing you can do about it. I am here and I'm the mother you never were. The little girl is safe and my kids like the Easter baskets, so be satisfied with the three minutes you had in my foyer with them and be on your skanky way. And take that gross perfume smell with you.

Kudos on standing your ground.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't find my parents vile, I will never again go to a church service with them. I was telling my co-worker about what a nightmare that was when I did it five years ago. We can't let our parents screw things up for our own families.
Good for you!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! (bet she now wishes you had slept through the visit so she could get further).

Great job. What a great mother you are. Thank you for keeping her skank out of your house and away from your children. Good and healing thoughts to you.
